Forest Learning Alliance partnered with EDT offer the funded Early Career Framework programme for ECTs and Mentors
In September 2021 it became a statutory requirement for all schools to offer – and all early career teachers to undertake – a 2-year induction based on the Early Career Framework (ECF). The ECF sets out what all early career teachers should learn about and learn how to do during the first 2 years of their careers.
As an official Delivery Partner with EDT we are providing the fully-funded Early Career Professional Development full induction Programme, complete with the maximum funding on offer paid to schools. Please click here for the full programme details.
Schools wishing to sign up with Forest Learning Alliance can REGISTER HERE. You will be taken to the Education Development Trust website where you can select Forest Learning Alliance as your Delivery Partner. You will also need to complete registration with the DfE HERE.
Early career teachers will be provided with opportunities to learn the theory, put theory into practice, and reflect on personal and professional development with the support of their mentor. Activities include:
- Face-to-face and webinar sessions with expert input from specialist organisations, exploring effective classroom practice across settings, phases, and specialisms.
- Regional (currently remote) and local, FLA hosted sessions.
- Regular mentor sessions including Instructional Coaching and exploring content with a focus on learning, practising, and reflecting.
Opportunities for reflection and discussion as well as carefully timed self-study.
The programme includes fully funded professional development, including a focussed learning pathway, for mentors. Specialist training and support will ensure each mentor is confident in their knowledge of the Early Career Framework and develops their mentoring skills so that the early career teachers they work with get the best from the programme.
