Module Code: content-paragraph

Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education now compulsory for all schools

The new curriculum became compulsory in September 2020 (full details here) and schools should start teaching from that date if they are to meet the statutory requirements. If they are not ready, or are unable to meet the requirements, they should begin teaching by at least the start of the summer term 2021. Forest Learning Alliance won a successful bid to deliver a central programme of support to:

  • improve subject knowledge
  • teacher access to resources and
  • build confidence

We have recruited a number of teachers to join us on our funded face-to-face, train-the-trainer programme to become RSHE subject facilitators. Once trained, facilitators would then be expected to train colleagues and support the implementation of the new RSHE statutory guidance into schools. Find out more
